How to Make you own
What you will need
- 1x 25mm square of veroboard
- 2x 0.1uf ceramic capacitors
- 1x 20k Ohm Resistor (RED BLACK YELLOW)
- 2x 1mm solid copper wire about 10cm long
- Soldering Iron
- Craft Knife
- 1 uhf TV Socket
- 1 uhf TV Plug
- 2 short lengths of 75ohm Coax
- 1 empty plastic 35mm film container
- Take the Veroboard and divide it into 4 sections removing parts of the copper tracks
- solder in place a 0.1uf capacitor across two opposite sections, ie topleft to topright & bottomleft to bottomright.
- using the solid 1mm copper wire make 2 coils by using a 6mm Jack plug or a pen make 5 turns and trim to size.
- solder in place across to two opposite sections, ie topleft to bottomleft & topright to bottom right.
- fit the uhf tv socket and the uhf tv plug on to your 75ohm coax.
- make a hole in the film container base and a hole in the cap pass the Coax through the holes.
- solder the coax to your veroboard, Braid to the top and centre core to the bottom.
- fit the 20k Ohm resistor across the Braid Capacitor in parallel
